Comprehensive Eye Exam
Our comprehensive eye exams go beyond checking your vision. They provide a thorough evaluation of your eye health and can help identify early signs of certain eye conditions and other health concerns that may otherwise go unnoticed.
In addition to determining your prescription for glasses or contact lenses, when needed, your exam may include evaluations of eye coordination, depth perception, color vision, eye pressure, visual fields, the optic nerve, and cataract development.
Comprehensive eye exams are performed by Dr. Carr, with support from our wonderful technician Gracin, to ensure you receive thorough, personalized care from start to finish.
Contact Lens Fitting
Contact lenses can be a convenient and comfortable alternative to glasses, and they’re a great option for many different lifestyles and vision needs. Whether you’re interested in trying contact lenses for the first time or you’re an experienced wearer in need of an updated prescription, we’re here to help you find the right fit.
As part of your contact lens fitting, Dr. Carr will evaluate your vision and eye health and determine the best lens options based on your prescription, lifestyle, comfort, and individual needs. Our ABOC - lab manager, Olivia, provides personalized contact lens training and hands-on fitting assistance to help ensure you feel confident and comfortable handling and wearing your lenses.
From your initial fitting to ongoing care, our team is here to make your transition to contact lenses as easy and comfortable as possible.
Eyeglass Fitting
When it comes to eyewear, we focus on the 3 F’s: Fit, Function, and Fashion. Your glasses should feel comfortable, fit properly, complement your personal style, and provide the visual performance you need.
During your eyeglass fitting, our knowledgeable team will take the time to understand your individual vision needs, lifestyle, and preferences. Deidre, our Frame Stylist, brings a thoughtful eye for style and fit to help you find frames that complement your features, personality, and everyday life. She will also guide you through lens materials, coatings, and other options to ensure your eyewear meets your visual needs and budget.
Our goal is to make choosing eyewear an enjoyable and personalized experience. We’re here to answer your questions, explain your options, and help you feel confident in your selection—from finding the perfect frame to creating your finished pair of glasses.
Contact Lens Training
If you’re new to contact lenses, your contact lens training session is the next step after your fitting. Our team will provide hands-on instruction and guidance to help you feel comfortable and confident with your new lenses.
Olivia, our ABOC- and Gracin, our optometric technician, will walk you through everything you need to know—from safely inserting and removing your lenses to proper cleaning, care, and storage.
We want you to leave feeling confident in your ability to care for and wear your contact lenses successfully. Contact lens training is included- following an eye exam with a contact lens fitting.
Retinal Imaging
Want a closer look at your eye health without the hassle of traditional dilation? At Visionary Eyeworks, we offer advanced Digital Retinal Imaging to give you and Dr. Carr a detailed view inside your eyes while keeping your visit comfortable and convenient.
This high-resolution imaging captures detailed photographs of the retina and optic nerve, which can be added to your chart for future reference. These images provide a helpful baseline and allow Dr. Carr to monitor your eye health over time and look for changes that may require further attention.
Our Optometric Technician, Gracin, will guide you through the quick and easy imaging process, making it simple and comfortable from start to finish. The images are reviewed as part of your comprehensive eye exam and become a valuable part of your ongoing eye care.
Unlike dilating drops, retinal imaging does not cause the temporary blurred vision or light sensitivity that can occur with dilation. Digital Retinal Imaging is $39 when added to your comprehensive eye exam. (Typically NOT covered but insurance- Some may vary) Depending on your individual eye health needs, Dr. Carr may still recommend dilation when additional evaluation is necessary.
Surgical Co-Management
Considering LASIK or cataract surgery? We’re here to help you understand your options and determine whether you may be a good candidate for the procedure you’re considering.
During your consultation, we’ll evaluate your individual vision and eye health needs and help you better understand what to expect. If surgery is appropriate, we can connect you with a trusted specialist who is best suited to your specific needs.
Our care doesn’t stop after the referral. We’re here to support you throughout the process and provide your ongoing follow-up and aftercare, helping ensure you receive exceptional care every step of the way.
IN-OFFICE OPTICAL LAB
Quality eyewear, made with care and a quicker turnaround.
One of the things that sets Visionary Eyeworks apart is our in-office optical lab. Having our lab right here allows us to maintain greater control over the finishing process, pay close attention to every detail, and get you into your new glasses faster.
Our ABOC- Lab Manager, Olivia, personally oversees the lab and takes pride in crafting each pair of glasses with precision and care. From cutting and edging lenses to the final finishing and adjustments, having our lab in-house means we can be hands-on throughout the entire process.
Depending on lens and frame availability, many prescriptions can be completed with a same-day to 2-business-day turnaround. This allows us to provide a level of convenience and personal attention that isn’t always possible when eyewear is sent to an outside laboratory.
From your frame selection to the final fit, we’re here for every step—helping you get back to seeing clearly in the glasses you love, sooner.
